Never been camping? You’re in for a treat. There is something about sleeping outdoors and spending your days surrounded by nature that makes the human mind relax. To the beginner, planning a camping trip that will go smoothly can seem daunting. Don’t worry, it’s easier than it looks! You’ll quickly get a feel for what is needed when sleeping outdoors, but to ensure that your first trip goes well, this book will give you all the hints and tips you need. In this camping tips book we’ll be looking at campsite camping, glamping, and wild camping. Campsite camping: Setting up your tent in an organized campground is definitely the way to go for your first night out. You’ll be far more comfortable and can ease into the experience, as opposed to wild camping. You will have access to a few amenities while still enjoying the outdoor experience. Glamping: Glamping is essentially luxury camping and usually involves oversized tents or even trailers and all the comforts of home. Electronics and cooking gear are brought along. Some people even have entire outdoor kitchens! This type of camping is definitely not roughing it. Wild camping: While you probably won’t be eating grubs to stay alive, this type of camping is certainly more basic than the other two types. You will be hiking to find the perfect camping spot, clearing your own space and setting up a shelter or even building your own. There are no cushy toilets or fresh running water out in the middle of nowhere and you’ll be carrying everything in on your back. While all of these are valid camping choices, most people do best with a nice campground to start out in. It gets your outdoor life off to a good start and lets you experience the best of camping. 1. When Sunny Lytle is evicted for keeping her fur family of thirteen dogs, eight cats, two ferrets, and two rabbits in her apartment in Kentucky, she packs them into a converted school bus and returns to her hometown, DeLeon Springs, Florida. Her dream is to create a no-kill animal rescue, but survival soon takes top priority. Camping in the woods is no longer the peaceful haven of her teen years, and the brutal demands of nature and the threatening intervention of Rita, a well-meaning veterinarian, create an ongoing struggle. Buck, a quirky homeless man, becomes her brave ally. Reconnecting with her alcoholic father and her high school boyfriend Jason revive fear and desire for Sunny. Relationships for Rita and Jason, and Sunny’s married Kentucky boyfriend Bear, rise and fall along the battlefront between societal values and passionate love for animals. To honor their memories, all animal names used in the novel are of deceased fur friends beloved by their families. True anecdotes of animal-human interaction enliven the scenes. 1. Language: English. We liked to fool around, Denny and me. Still, having sex right in the middle of a tent full of people during the camping trip was one of the most adventurous things we’d ever done. I kept thinking someone would look over and see us in the sleeping bag. It thrilled me to no end to think it would be so easy for someone to catch us. Hell, we were having sex in public! Then, Denny did something I absolutely didn’t expect…he decided that as long as we were in the backwoods he ought to take my backdoor. Warning: This book contains very explicit descriptions of sexual activity and includes sex in public, first anal sex, and more. Only mature adults who won’t find that offensive should listen to this story. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Jennifer Saucedo. We all have it. That feeling that something bad is about to happen, something really bad. We don´t like to think about it, and we never talk about it, but still, we worry about it. Sometimes, we can almost feel the Earth holding its breath and waiting. We are all preparing in our own ways. Some have built bunkers and gathered supplies, some have a contingency plan on paper - or maybe just in their head - but nothing concrete. Then there are those of us who are in the middle; we don´t have a well-supplied bunker, but we have a stash of things we might need when that day comes and a sort of plan to go with it. We think about how much we will miss things like chocolate bars, wine, and coffee, and brainstorm about ways to preserve the things we will miss the most. We decide where to go, if leaving is possible, and consider the pros and cons of each possible location. The more pessimistic at heart are checking things off their bucket lists before it´s too late and maybe even devising an exit strategy. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure, borderline diabetes, obesity, and being overweight. I lived a busy life, and I didn´t have a lot of money. Taking the time to follow a strict diet and exercise routine or paying out a lot of money for a gym membership or personal training was out of the question. At first, I tried training for a marathon as my younger brother Bobby was a cross country marathon runner. But after the second day with him, I realized that my body was not fit for marathon practice. Bobby´s coach then told me about hiking, and since he was an avid hiker himself, he took me on two hiking trips, and I was hooked. That was 12 years ago. Fast forward to the present, I now am an experienced long-distance hiker. I have traveled and hiked in over 17 countries. I no longer have diabetes or high blood pressure. I am also a certified hiking coach for people with diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity. I teach and promote family hiking where a family with kids of any ages can go for a hike as a mini-camping trip and have a fun time. I wrote this guide for people who are looking to get into shape while enjoying their time outdoors, especially with their family and kids. Think of hiking as a mini-camping trip where you get to enjoy the beautiful nature while getting into shape and spending quality time with your family. 1. Language: English.
